Our Story
Gary and Barbara Smith with Connie

The son of a Thomaston restaurateur, Gary purchased the building adjacent to his father's former "The Clam Box" to house an eatery of his own. The couple set out to create a family-run and family-friendly restaurant with a unique, local charm.
Housed in the lower level of 370 Watertown Road for the first 12 years, the restaurant was known for its signature goose decorations. Since 1996, the restaurant has operated from the main level of the same building and features a cozy, "casual country" dining room.
Today, the restaurant remains family owned and operated by the Smiths. It is one of Thomaston's oldest restaurants under consistent ownership.
